Charter rate currencies vary throughout the world and from one vessel
to the next, however, we have elected to provide indicative rates (above)
in US Dollars (USD) for ease of comparison.
Charter Rate Inclusions and Extras:
Considerable variation exists throughout the luxury charter industry on
the issue of charter rate inclusions and extras. Many vessels employ a
base charter rate which includes the vessel and crew only. In this case,
items not included in the base charter rate may extend to; fuel and engine
lubricants, food and beverages, shipboard communications, local taxes
and port charges, laundry charges, additional activities such as scenic
flights, shore excursions, Scuba diving or the employment of specialist
staff. Some vessels may include all of these items in their charter rate
and many others adopt terms somewhere between the two extremes. Charter
rate inclusions and extras for each specific charter vessel are most appropriately
outlined within a comprehensive charter quotation.
Repositioning:
Should a vessel require to be re-located from one region to another at
the charterer's request to commence a charter, repositioning fees may
apply. This fee is in addition to the base charter rate and is usually
charged at cost price to the charterer.
Charter Agreements:
Most charter vessels employ a standard Charter Agreement which clearly
outlines the Terms and Conditions of charter to the mutual satisfaction
of both vessel owner and charterer.
